Toxic Masculinity
One of the best definitions of toxic masculinity I’ve found comes from Harris O’Malley (O’Malley, 2016). It’s the cultural ideal of manliness, where strength is everything while emotions are a weakness; where sex and brutality are yardsticks by which men are measured, while supposedly ‘feminine’ traits – which can range from emotional vulnerability to simply not being hypersexual – are the means by which your status as ‘man’ can be taken away.”

Wesleyan Quadrilateral
The Wesleyan Quadrilateral is a theological approach that deals with the question of authority. Drawn from the writings of John Wesley, the theory holds that one can make theological decisions on the basis of four sources: scripture, tradition, reason and experience.
